  • As part of the Airport Performance and Readiness team, the Sr Manager of Performance Support leads a team that partners with frontline leadership to facilitate focus and action on metrics across the business.
  • The team uses analytical tools framed with a narrative approach to understand the story behind the data, and engages with station leaders and other departments on opportunities for improvement.The team is also responsible for coordinating large cross departmental projects affecting our airports such as new station starts and terminal moves.
  • The role is a part of the Performance Support and Airport Coordination team within our Airport Performance and Readiness group.

  • Fosters an environment of shared ownership in operational excellence, engaging with station leadership and HDQ teams to evaluate performance metrics and the associated business processes or impacts

  • Ensures emphasis on actionable data that can drive improvement, prioritizing resources to maximize impact and drive progress on strategic objectives

  • Supports the execution of new processes or initiatives, and the effectiveness of training and change management efforts, by ensuring visibility to performance outcomes and next level analysis of performance drivers

  • Advocates for airport needs and customer experience through collaboration and coordination with relevant stakeholders across the Commercial and Operations organizations

  • Works collaboratively and objectively across stakeholders with a principle of shared accountability, and effectively facilitates the development of action plans or solutions

  • Inspires new ways of working to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and an ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the business

  • Identifies opportunities to innovate and leverage data and analytics to inform operational priorities and effective execution

  • Uphold inclusive leadership values, develop and care for the team, provide positive impact on culture at American Airlines and ensure a one team mentality
     

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 5-7 years professional experience
  • Proven success leading teams, building relationships, and collaborating across a wide variety of cross functional teams and initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Analytical experience in an operations environment
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and interdependencies
