  • This job is a member of the Regional Carrier Operations Team within the Regional Division.
  • This role has the unique opportunity to work with multiple groups (both internally and externally) while making decisions that directly improve performance for over half of American Airlines' daily departures. The position will be active in examining all aspects of the regional business, including project work and activities covering a wide variety of operational, strategic, and financial analyses and coordination of project implementation.

What you'll do

•    Liaise with Operations Performance & Planning, Network Planning, Tech Ops and Regional Strategy to implement schedule review comments and oversee schedule phasing issues for special projections
•    Drive operational reliability through schedule improvement initiatives
•    Coordinate AMT hiring between AA and the Regional Carriers
•    Work with internal/partner/vendor SMEs to coordinate all activities related to Carrier operations including project development and status reporting
•    Cross departmental coordination ensuring wholly-owned and non-owned partner airlines are aligned with programs associated to the safe operation of flight activity at American Airlines both on the ground and in the air
•    Coordinate programs and procedures between wholly-owned and non-owned partner airlines, AA Aircraft Maintenance and the American Airlines Integrated Operations Center (IOC)
•    Coordination with strategic planning on wholly-owned and non-owned partner airline fleet inductions, their respective placement/orientation
•    Lead planning readiness initiatives across the regional carriers 
•    Develop forecasts and presentations to provide internal recommendations regarding performance improvements and special programs
•    Coordinate with wholly-owned and non-owned partner airline Emergency Response/Safety departments to ensure full compliance with regulatory and American Airlines procedures 
•    Become a regional industry expert to implement operational best practices
•    Develop competitive industry studies and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics
•    Assist as liaison with other internal/external departments representing the Regional group to ensure performance measurements are met
•    Occasional Travel May be required

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Strategy, or other related field, or equivalent experience/training
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in project management and Airport Operations highly desired
  • Aircraft Maintenance experience, with Regional A/C Maintenance experience highly desired

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • A&P License
  • Experience with Sabre, Mosaic, and Tableau
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)
