  • The Senior Manager of Agency Operations will lead a team of high performing data analysts, insight analysts, reporting analysts and operations analysts in transforming data into business insight by delivering a wide range of reports, dashboards and analytics. You will play a key role to empower the sales organization to formulate key strategies, improve business processes and measure impact of existing methods.  The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data and be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. This position manages the sales relationship with internal groups such as Mosaic and Network Planning, and external vendors such as DDS. 
  • This job is part of the Sales Operations Team within the Customer Division.

 

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of senior analysts responsible for data, tools and reporting needs that pertain to agency sales programs  
  • Oversee the maintenance and continued enhancement of agency optimization, reporting and contracting tools
  • Create and enforce policies for effective sales data management
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects 
  • Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications 
  • Manage the roadmap for information delivery and management; including Mosaic, BI & analytics, content management and data management
  • Oversee the development, launch and testing of agency portal by working closely with AA internal teams Mosaic, BI, Sales Automation and external vendors
  • Takes an active role in the performance management process by completing goal setting, interim review, and year-end review on a timely basis and soliciting ongoing feedback
  • Performs other duties as required

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years’ experience leading a team including data architects, developers, and BI professionals 
  • 5 years of managing airline data and reporting
  • Extensive experience in statistical modeling, business analysis, systems planning, and project management
  • Experience with MS Power Bi, SQL, Teradata, Tableau and power-pivot
  • Experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end users

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Graduate Degree in Business Administration or other relevant field
  • Knowledge of airline economics and reporting
  • Experience with relevant data sources including: DDS, MIDT, TCN and Flown

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of the airline’s data and sales incentive programs
  • Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management
  • High performance orientation
  • Skills in managing a large volume of projects and strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to have a sense of urgency about work and constantly striving to reach new levels of performance
  • Ability to be a versatile leader with strong interpersonal skills and proactive attitude who enables an organization to operate at maximum efficiency
