About The Job

​This job is a member of the Accounts Receivable Team within the Finance Division. This position will be an integral part of the UATP (Universal Air Travel Program) Team responsible for calculating, reviewing, and reporting data related to the departmental budget and high level UATP customers, both internal and external.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Provide month end variance explanations and monthly reporting
  • Assist with yearly budget creation for UATP revenues
  • Daily ticket research via Sabre and IBM to quickly determine proper tax application and other pertinent values. 
  • Provide the department with ticketing expertise to include refund processes, ticketing processes, and ability to interpret text fields in PNR records and convey to others in simple terms.
  • Create/Maintain multiple spreadsheets for determining proper application of tax and imputed income using various formula types
  • Liaison with payroll to gather information required for analysis and insure accurate billing to customer base to include both internal and external customers 
  • Manually create monthly billings and reporting for select UATP accounts.
  • Provide phone and email support to select UATP customers
  • Develops presentations that summarize and communicates results from analysis
  • Works with management and end-users to address data and process concerns
  • Supports UATP initiatives, projects and customer relationships

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field or equivalent experience/training
  • Three years related work experience with back-end ticket processing, including refunds, auditing, etc.
  • Ability to intuitively understand complex financial IT systems
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and logical decision making skills
  • Ability to successfully interact with high value customers internal and externa
  • ​Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ablility to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop solutions to business problems and operational challenges
  • Ability to both read and create processing flows
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and projects, prioritizes opportunities and take initiative towards achieving common goal
  • Ability to independently identify issues, analyze data and propose solutions
  • Able to present to various levels of management and tailor the presentation to the audience accordingly
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Able to  build relationships and interact productively with various departments and all levels of management
  • Work in a team environment as well as be successful independently
  • Willingness to show initiative and take ownership of job responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full understanding of all aspects of airline ticket issuance to include ability to interpret tax, fare, exchanges and an understanding of all PNR data and to quickly provide analysis of such information with management 
  • Aptitude to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop solutions
  • Excel capabilities to include pivot tables, formulas, formatting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization both verbally and written
  • Flexibility with modification of schedule as needed to meet workflow demands
  • Dexterity to handle multiple critical issue tasks simultaneously
  • Proven financial and accounting analytical skills
  • Knowledge of IBM and SAP FI accounting system
