Senior Analyst – Business Planning at Hill International – UAE
Job Description:
- Support in developing and maintaining GSA strategic plan and 1-year detailed plans to set direction and priorities on the delivery of its programs and services;
- Develop strategic KPIs and set key performance targets, across all levels of the GSA;
- Conduct regular external and internal environmental analysis leading to SWOT, and develop plans to leverage strength in pursuing opportunities, in addition to developing plans to remediate weaknesses, and mitigate threats;
- Facilitate goal setting for GSA plans working with major internal and external stakeholders and align with defined strategic plans of the wider Group;
- Provide support and advisory activities to GSA and consolidate plans for departments and align them against set strategic objectives;
- Work closely with GSA VPs and staff to assess initiatives’ contribution to strategic objectives and targets, and provide recommendations whether to maintain, add, or stop initiatives that do not contribute to the GSA strategic direction;
- Develop standard guidelines for the development of strategic and business plans well as integrate GSA strategic planning goals into operational programs and service delivery objectives;
- Facilitate support activities such as goal and objective definition, target setting, performance measure setting, identification of key initiatives for strategic planning;
- Coach / train strategic planning team in problem-solving methods, work methods, and in consensus-building activities, and training in skills, methods, and techniques necessary for carrying out strategic planning functions for sectors / divisions (in coordination with HR Division);
- Monitor and report on progress towards identified goals and objectives of the strategic plan, service improvements and best practices efforts;
- Conduct periodic surveys to measure citizens’ satisfaction with Ruwais City Unit services to facilitate improvement in strategic planning process;
- Evaluate and analyze survey results in order to identify and recommend areas of improvement within services in Ruwais City Unit;
- Participate in various meetings with internal and external entities to discuss strategic planning, and benchmarking issues;
- Develop reporting dashboards and templates which would provide visibility on the portfolio of work to the GSA management team;
- Perform such other duties as assigned by the Transformation Department Manager.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Management or equivalent
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Relevant Experience:
- Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince 2)
- Minimum of 10 – 12 years of relevant experience in Strategic Planning / Management in a government / public / private sector organization
