This job is a member of the Co-Brand Team within the Marketing & Loyalty Division. This Analyst/Senior Analyst role is responsible for management, growth, and profitability of American Airlines' portfolio of Co-Brand Credit Card products. This role implements important brand and advertising strategies designed to target card prospects and drives affinity for the Co-Brand portfolio through paid media channels, and supports acquisition and existing cardmember efforts with relevant brand assets. This involves working with internal departments at American, Citi, and various external agency partners.
- Lead brand and advertising strategy for Citi/AAdvantage card products, planning and executing various paid media tactics including but not limited to digital, social, mobile, print and out-of-home
- Develop annual agency SOWs and budget allocations for production jobs and media initiatives
- Oversee the creative development, production and implementation of all campaign tactics launched into market
- Manage, support, and enhance day-to-day relationships with Citi, external and internal partners to ensure strategic alignment around marketing plans
- Focuses attention on growing our partnership's footprint
- Review and approve all campaign assets in tandem with Citi partners
- Identify opportunities to develop brand assets that support acquisition and existing cardmember marketing efforts
- Track and analyze campaign data against key success metrics and prepare performance reports
- Maintain and update brand guidelines and ensure compliance
- Evaluates competitive strategies and industry trends to determine impact to Co-Brand Credit Card portfolio
- Some domestic and international travel may be required, up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or relevant field
- Experienced in managing large-scale commercial productions such as video shoots and still photography
- Well-versed in social platforms, emerging media tactics and industry trends
- Ability to manage annual budgets, develop monthly forecasts, actualize project scopes, and support contract negotiations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey strategic direction in a variety of forums including briefing documents, discussions with external partners and interactions with peers or leaders
- Strong analytical skills, specifically evaluating media performance and campaign results

- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a marketing role
- Experience in managing agency partners

- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, craft strategy, take such strategy towards completion, and recognize opportunities for innovation and creativity
- Manage projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Can execute multiple projects concurrently and prioritize opportunities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to be an innovative problem solver who can take an idea from conception through execution
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
