Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for sales and corporate development in a specific territory. This role will steer the sales efforts to drive incremental revenue through the business travel community and preferred travel management companies; leveraging aspects of our commercial offerings and alliance partnerships. Additionally, the person in this role will foster business relationships with local community and civic leaders to enhance Alaska Airlines' presence in the community. Scope & Complexity This individual contributor role leads corporate sales activities for an assigned territory at Alaska Airlines. Key Duties - Effectively negotiates corporate and agency contracts, maximizing return to Alaska Airlines while demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. - Responds to RFPs from the Fortune 1000 companies timely and professionally to win the business. - Actively renegotiates renewals with existing customers in a timely manner. - Seeks and cultivates new Corporate business - utilizes leads list generated from conferences, LinkedIn, business journals, Salesforce, teammate leads, and own network. - Prepares and implements regional sales plans in accordance with corporate sales objectives, ensuring Alaska Airlines is well-positioned among its competitors, and leverages its position in the marketplace. - Represents Alaska Airlines at industry, community marketing and promotional events to include public speaking, participation, coordination and activation. - Establishes and manages long-term relationships with new and existing accounts that build on ongoing strategies in the marketplace. - Monitors competitive activity within the corporate and agency community and suggests possible strategies to gain a competitive advantage. - Responds timely to account needs. - Prepares and presents webinars, training and agent site visits to corporate and agency partners. - Effectively manages and organizes time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Air. - Prepares and presents Quarterly Business Reviews to monitor revenue, commissions and contract performance within the region to ensure maximum revenues and share goals are attained. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 4 years of experience in outside sales, preferably corporate sales within the Fortune 1000, with airline sales application, or in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, consultative sales environment. - Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Proven capability of working in an analytically-minded, fact-based sales and account management environment. - Background and experience in the structuring and effective management of corporate and agency incentive share agreements using your thorough understanding of current travel industry distribution models. - Flexible and takes a creative approach to fulfilling tasks - an enthusiastic, results-oriented self-motivator with a history of demonstrated success in a virtual work environment. - The ability to work from home and the willingness to travel (40% or more of the time) in support of your role. - A versatile team player that can perform equally well as an individual or together with our small but cohesive and driven sales team. You adapt to and thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic market environment. Preferred - Prior exposure to and use of travel industry data reporting sources such as ARC and PRISM. - Familiarity with CRM tool Salesforce.
