Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Cabin Product & Experience manager is a subject matter expert in product marketing. This role will focus on all cabin elements including the interiors of the cabin as well as physical products within the cabin. This role manages the design, development, and enforcement of consistent application of brand guidelines and specifications. This role partners closely with Alaska Airlines Maintenance & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Inflight, Fleet Services and other internal workgroups, along with several external vendors to ensure the delivery of high quality interior upgrades that best reflect the Alaska brand and enhance the guest experience. Scope & Complexity As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgement to make decisions on the onboard cabin products and experience for Alaska Airlines. Key Duties - Takes ownership of inflight customer cabin amenities for retrofit and new-aircraft programs (e.g., interfacing and managing key partners and vendors and presenting and working on business cases). - Manages the execution of inflight cabin branded elements for retrofit and new-aircraft programs. Approves and finalizes design acceptance. - Develops standards and guidelines, as well as audits the onboard environments. Approves and justifies material specifications and justifies the use of alternatives or variations. - Inspects aircraft cabins upon installation/delivery of new programs. - Manages the department budget and the creation of inflight literature and collateral through execution, creative design, investigating new materials to use, and leading cross divisional teams. - Influences cross-divisionally (e.g., Inflight, Airports, Food/Beverage) to ensure a holistic cabin experience. - Manages agencies and 3rd party suppliers to ensure program scope and deliverables are met. Exercises day-to-day decision-making for vendor operations and partnerships. - Apply a deep understanding of the competitive set and clearly executes Alaska's point of difference by researching trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to integrate into design efforts. - Supports brand leadership in leveraging customer feedback, research data, and business metrics to effectively assess initiatives, run the business, and drive continuous improvement. - Conducts customer research to stay close to the competition and ensure Alaska's alignment to customer expectations. - Determines design and ensures brand compliance of the onboard environment across multiple touchpoints and aircraft types. Ensures cabin environment is aligned with other environments within customer journey. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 5 years of product marketing experience. - A Bachelor degree with a focus in design, marketing, or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Ability to lead large scale and complex programs. - Ability to problem-solve with various departments and outside vendors. - Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for change. - Strong communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills. - Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
