Financial Analyst
Job Description:
- To support Financial Controller on delivering robust, timely and accurate financial planning, reporting and reviews
- Provide commercial and analytical support on analysis of budgets, forecasts, flash results and other financial & operational information
- Ensure accounting and financial records are correct and act as point of contact for internal audit reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Information Systems:
- Develop suitable business MIS to encapsulate all the key performance indicators, financial, commercial & operational
- Coordinating IT system developments to keep pace with the changing operating and regulatory environment
- Timely verification of sales incentives by ensuring incentive earnings remain compliant with incentive scheme and company’s DOA
Financial Reporting:
- Monitoring posting of expenses and ensuring all the cost allocations and standard accruals are in line with Budget and/or Forecasts
- Monitoring of Fixed Assets Register to ensure CAPEX remains in line with Budgeted commitments
- Contribute to the development of business management relationships through monthly reviews and recommendation of improvement initiatives
- Review and analyse monthly financial results (B/S, P&L and cash flow) and provide key observations / recommendations to Management
- Design and implement best practices and process improvements
Financial & Budgetary Controls:
- Lead Budget / Forecast preparation process and support HR in manpower cost planning
- Coordinating with Functional Managers for business segment performance review
- Developing financial models and analyses to support strategic and growth initiatives
- Initiate and Drive Cost Saving Initiatives by supporting FC in evaluating direct / indirect expenses and identifying actions required to pro-actively right-size existing company cost structures against appropriate performance KPIs
Compliance:
- Supporting FC in establishing policies and operating procedures and ensuring that these are made available and followed by business units
- Conducting frequent audits of sales and purchase processes to ensure compliance with local Tax laws
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Internationally Accredited Professional Accountancy Qualification or MBA in Business Administration
- Thorough understanding of the Automotive Market and Car Rental and Leasing operations
Minimum Experience:
- 8 years in finance, with minimum 3 years’ experience of car rental and leasing industry
