The Head of Product Development will create, design, implement and continuously improve Al-Futtaim Retails product portfolio. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders, to define our digital product vision. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for communicating that vision to senior leaders, business units teams within the automotive division and executive partners. This leader will also be responsible for forecasting the growth opportunities associated with that vision, executing its delivery, and evangelizing product adoption.
Strategy:
- Define, develop and lead implementation of a Group-wide product development strategy aligned with the overall Digital strategy of the group
- Design, develop and implement a product development framework and governance for all brands/businesses across the Division.
- Spearhead the product strategy and foundational tech capabilities of all products
- Make decisions, in partnership with senior business leaders, on digital investments and priorities in product development
- Advise and work closely with the marketing and engineering teams to deliver high-quality products
Delivery:
- Manage all P&L line items related to specific product area and develop features and cross-functional initiatives to ensure delivery on financial targets
- Develop business cases, make recommendations, and define success that are critical to driving value for strategic priorities
- Set and own product vision and roadmaps as well as provide subject matter expertise and guidance on the customer loyalty and retention strategy.
- Lead product teams from conception to launch of different types of Products including Apps and websites Research and Monitoring
- Lead research, interpret and communicate the internal voice of the customer
- Understand customer needs through excellent interaction with partners and by leading and initiating the conduct of customer and market research
- Spearhead industry research, as necessary, for competitive benchmarking and to support feature development
- Deploy a customer-first approach, utilising data and feedback from across the business to optimise the customer experience and increase loyalty and retention
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) teams to monitor and turn data into actionable items
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, masters or MBA (Or similar)
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
- Entrepreneurial mindset, a creator with leading technical ideas
- Perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem solver
- 10+ years’ Experience in application development, experience across tech and product management is an advantage
- Proven track record in designing and delivering multiple successful products
- Deep understanding of digital strategy and product strategy
- Experience in managing high performing teams within large organisations
- Consultative, innovative leader and passionate about the customer experience and the digital agenda
- Great understanding of CX/UX/UI and how they work together
- Experience of Android and IOS apps a benefit
