  • This job is a member of the Maintenance Control Team acting as a liaison to Hub Line / Hangar Operations.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, oversight, direction to assigned Maintenance Control Technicians (MCT) with focus on line maintenance deferral management and oversight.
  • This job supports the action and responsibilities of the Manager, Maintenance Control (MOD).
     

What you'll do

  • Collaborates with line maintenance management while serving as key liaison to Integrated Operations Center (IOC) departments.
  • Provides surveillance of out of service events and coordinate troubleshooting recommendations to support expedited return to service.
  • In conjunction with MCTs assigned, ensures station primary assigned deferrals (e.g. MELs, CDLs, NEFs) are reviewed to ensure required resources (e.g. Parts, tooling, consumables, and estimated ground time / manhours) are properly identified and resourced through coordination with Planning, Routing, and Supply Chain.
  • Coordinates on secondary assigned deferrals (e.g. MONs, TSIs, TACs,) to ensure clear work scope expectations.
  • Champions and promotes focus on key deferral groupings (e.g. Restrictive MELs, APUs, WIFI / IFE, Most Placarded Aircraft)
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
     

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent related experience/training.
  • 3 years experience in commercial airline maintenance operations. This could be Line or Base maintenance and prior Maintenance Control (or combination thereof).

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) experience.
  • Experience with AA maintenance procedures and familiar with regulatory requirements.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Must possess a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and use of digital technical manuals.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be capable of operating in a fast paced, time constrained environment.
  • Must have verbal and Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Effective leadership skills and problem-solving techniques.
