PPGA/Comms Manager – Tax COE at PepsiCo

Location: Nasr City

Job Description:

• Support the sector COE for all tax issues that require advocacy through in depth technical knowledge of tax issues.
• Protect and boost PEP-AMENA top and bottom-line financial performance through outstanding PPGA ( Public Policy Government Affairs) tax know-how.
• Support sector COE in the development of an AMENA wide tax management/engagement manual in close coordination with corporate PPGA.
• Develop scaled credentialed data-based tax advocacy plans, supporting BU work to mitigate impact on AMENA beverage and snacks business.
• Develop sector wide strategic alliances with international tax advisers (PWC/Deloitte etc) and experts to reinforce the advocacy. Create sector wide/ multi-region industry coalitions to reinforce advocacy.
• Proactively identify tax risks and work with Finance and Strategy to assess potential impact on the business.
• Engage with key international/regional stakeholders on tax issues: IMF Staff, GCC Secretariat, National stakeholders with focus on the GCC/Levant markets.
• Support MENA PPGA agenda specifically in the Levant markets and the GCC when it comes to fiscal policy.
• Support key BUs in managing key fiscal policies: Egypt, Pakistan, India, China, Philippines, and Vietnam.
• Lead on the reporting to Sector Leadership of key tax developments on monthly basis
• Support Sector COE in the management of a quarterly tax risk committee for sector leadership.
• Support Sector COE in the management and execution of a training calendar for PPGA leads and Sector Leadership in terms of fiscal policy understanding/management, etc.
• Develop and enhance working relationship with corporate PPGA especially in message/advocacy development/tax modelling, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
• Excellent communication and writing skills is required.
• Ability to work remotely and support multiple geographies.
• In-depth understanding of fiscal and tax policies.
• Understanding of the work of key financial institutions/international organizations: IMF/WTO.
