Site Hygiene Specialist at Wood – UAE

Job Description:

Assigned to projects involving industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead and mold
Work both in the field and in the office
Survey and sample building materials for asbestos and lead content
Conduct abatement project oversight involving asbestos, lead based paint and mold. Will work in the field with minimal supervision
Write daily reports
Conduct on-site phase contrast microscopy (PCM) analysis
Conduct air monitoring during abatement activities
Conduct environmental sampling for potable and non-potable water
Office work includes producing routine plans, cost estimates and specifications under supervision.
Assist in preparation of proposals
Will review plans documents to determine affected building elements for renovation and construction work

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s in industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Geology or applicable Science

Relevant Experience:

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

Required current certifications include: AHERA Building Inspector, Management Planner (optional), Air Monitoring Specialist, NIOSH 582E, EPA / HUD Lead inspector Project Designer
An asbestos / lead physical exam is required to obtain medical clearance
40-Hour HAZWOPER certified
Experience working in Client Representative or PMC role will be preferred.
Experience working in Onshore Brownfield
