The Recruiting Manager plays a key role in leading our technical operations recruiting, including Flight Operations (Pilots), Maintenance & Engineering, Safety, and other technical operations roles. You will effectively balance owning requisitions with leading a team of recruiters to find talented, diverse individuals who embody the Alaska spirit, strive to delight our customers every day, and will continue to propel our business forward. Scope & Complexity This role leads, manages, and develop the technical operations recruiting team for Alaska Air Group (AAG) and its subsidiaries. This role also evolves and manages the operations recruiting process and lifecycle (e.g., regulatory and company compliance requirements, sourcing, assessments, interviews/hiring events, offers, and on boarding). Key Duties - Collaborates with recruiting and business leadership to develop and execute a recruiting strategy that meets the needs of our fast paced high volume environment. - Evolves and manages the operations recruiting process and lifecycle (e.g., regulatory and company compliance requirements, sourcing, assessments, interviews/hiring events, offers, and on boarding). - Leads, manages, and develop the technical operations recruiting team. - Provides an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. - Partners with the HR and recruiting teams to identify, develop, and capitalize on brand wide-recruiting opportunities. - Screens and interview candidates to assess skills. - Researches and implements recruiting and talent acquisition best practices. - Tracks and reports recruiting metrics to ensure hiring objectives are met. - Represents Alaska Airlines at external outreach and community events. - Collaborates and consults with recruiting, HR, and cross-functional partners to drive the annual staffing plan forward. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - A minimum of 5 years recruiting and/or human resources experience. - 2 years of leadership experience. - Bachelor?s degree with a focus in business, communication, human resources, psychology or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Strong track record effectively managing teams and experience developing and mentoring employees through engagement. - Experience in a fast paced human resources environment. - Recruiting tools and systems experience, including applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools. - Solid understanding of talent acquisition and its relationship to organizational effectiveness. - Effective strategic thinking, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - High energy and positive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to deliver results on multiple tasks without compromising quality or deadlines. - Proficiency with analytical techniques. - Proven ability to take initiative and build productive relationships. - Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 20-30% of the time). - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - 3 years of leadership experience. - PHR/SPHR certification. - OFCCP knowledge and experience. - Technical recruiting experience.
