About the Role
This job role holds accountability towards inventory management and margin protection within the Sports and Lifestyle Division ensuring profitable operations. The jobholder will own and drive the end-to-end Merchandise Planning process for the Sports & Lifestyle MENA division whilst ensuring that key brand KPI’s are met including open-to-buy (OTB), Sales , Margin and managing the WSSI and markdown.
- Manage inventory levels for all brands across all markets
- Ensure all markets have optimum inventory levels at any given point of time with ideal weeks cover
- Manage the stock profile for all brands to ensure that aged inventory is kept to a minimum
- Sales & Margin
- Forecast weekly sales and Margin for all brands with the support of Brand Managers to facilitate decision making
- Protect and drive Margin through markdown management to ensure profitable brand operations
2. OTB & intakes
- Determine OTB for all the division to ensure optimum stock levels whilst ensuring that sales are not compromised
- Forecasting intakes in line with OTB to give an accurate picture of weekly stockholding by brand.
- WSSI and Range Planning
- Drive the Weekly Sales & Stock intake monitor (WSSI) for all brands by market
- Provide support and direction to the brand teams on Range level Planning to ensure the most commercial stock packages
3. Business and commercial Planning
- Driving the Business Planning process for the Sports & Lifestyle division to arrive at the budgeted sales & Margin (BP)
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and the Brand teams to confirm the commercial calendar for all brands, which would include all key promotions in line with the markdown strategy
4. SAP Inventory Management & Reporting
- Ensure that SAP is maintained and operating effectively and efficiently from an inventory point of view
- Develop and publish reports which will give accurate and reliable information to the management and facilitate decision making
- Support expansion by providing sales estimates and ensuring the availability of a proper stock package
- Understand gaps in the existing inventory control process & take corrective action to address these gaps in a timely manor
- Assist with the development and enforcement of robust inventory/ stock policies, procedures (SOPs) and ensure that the replenishment system in SAP is operating efficiently.
