About The Job

​This job is a member of the Marketing Onboard Products Team within the Marketing & Loyalty Division. ​As the voice of the customer, develops Marketing Onboard Products (OBP) requirements for (In-flight Entertainment) and in-seat power programs.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Functions as a critical team member creating a world class inflight connectivity (IFE) customer experience
  • Tracks, evaluates and reports ongoing airline competitive IFE developments and technological industry trends
  • Analyzes internal and external survey results to gain customer insight to help define, shape and implement AA's ongoing IFE strategy
  • Collaborates with colleagues from Tech Ops, Flight Service, Partner Marketing and numerous other internal departments as well as with our suppliers throughout all phases of aircraft programs
  • Participates in lab and on-aircraft IFE software and/or hardware product validation tests and communicates recommendations that the software and/or hardware meets OBB requirements
  • Helps manage IFE supplier relationships to drive product improvements, innovation and points of differentiation
  • Monitors ongoing IFE system performance and usage, and drives efforts to quickly correct performance issues affecting the customer experience
  • Serves as an IFE&C problem resolution liaison with internal and external customer care groups
  • Creates internal funding documents for new and retrofit IFE programs
  • Ability to travel outside of normal working hours and across various time zones (30%)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training/experience
  • Dynamic, independent self-starter
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills in combination with the ability to think and frame solutions strategically and creatively
  • Strong planning and project management skills with ability to advance and track a diversity of tasks concurrently
  • Ability to logically structure analyses of complex technical issues
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Close familiarity with American Airlines aircraft program management (Tech Ops, Fleet Planning, etc.)
  • Experience with aircraft digital and electrical systems a plus
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification a plus
