This job is a member of the Passenger Interline Team within the Revenue Accounting Division. This position will be responsible for reporting and analyzing data related to interline billing transactions, working with third-party vendors, monthly closing and general ledger processing, and account reconciliations.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
- Performs daily monitoring and regular analysis of Revenue Accounting job processes
- Delivers efficient and accurate reporting of data associated with passenger ticket interline billings
- Reports monthly statistics as well as ad-hoc analysis, including identifying and applying trends and root cause analysis
- Proactively identifies, evaluates, and recommends solutions for interline billing issues
- Develops presentations that summarize and communicates results from analysis
- Makes recommendations to management on long-term strategic plans for interline billing
- Identifes issues, proposes solutions and coordinates/contributes to implementation
- Works with management and end-users to address data and process concerns
- Supports interline initiatives, projects and vendor relationships
- Handles data queries from other departments throughout company
- Updates yearly budget for Director
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- 4 years related work experience in an analytical or leadership role
- Experience in finance or accounting-related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- General knowledge of ticketing and airline revenue accounting processes
- Knowledge of visual basic or SQL, or any CIS related degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to both read and create processing flows
- SAP-FI experience
- Ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop solutions to business problems and operational challenges
- Proven track record of demonstrating analytical aptitude
- Ability to manage multiple relationships and projects, prioritizes opportunities, and take initiative towards achieving a common goal
- Ability to independently identify issues, analyze data and propose solutions
- Able to present to various levels of management and tailor the presentation to the audience accordingly
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Able to build relationships and interact productively with various departments and all levels of management
- Work in a team environment as well as be successful independently
- Willingness to show initiative and take ownership of job responsibilities
- Self-starter with logical, analytical, organizational and innovation skills
- Creative thought process, visionary attitude and innate curiosity
