Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **POSITION INFORMATION** Role Summary The Alliances Program Manager is a subject matter expert for technical and operational issues associated with our domestic and international airline partners. As an individual contributor, this role will manage complex projects to ensure the smooth implementation and continued operation of our airline partner relationships. Scope & Complexity This individual contributor role supports alliance management activities for Alaska Airlines, managing complex projects with multiple dependencies. Influencing others across vastly different leadership levels in different departments for a positive outcome is absolutely required. Key Duties - Responsible for coordination/execution of technical and operational components of new codeshare/interline implementations or terminations and the updating/maintaining of current implementations - Acts as a subject matter expert for resolution of any technical or operational issues associated with our airline partners including but not limited to: Scheduling, Reservations, Airport Customer Service, GDS/PSS/Sabre, Accounting, and E-Commerce - With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgement to make decisions regarding partner implementations, with focus on delivering a usable, economical, and customer friendly solution - Maintains current passenger procedure documentation and policies, develops process documents, and communicates these changes to the partners - Analyzes data to understand variance and trends concerning revenue and loyalty traffic, and corresponding rates and customer facing value propositions - Monitors industry schedule and capacity changes and works to resolve day-to-day operational issues by determining work on maintenance items that need to be addressed - Makes recommendations and influence various leadership levels across the organization to integrate and align the Alliance viewpoint and strategy into their respective commercial/operational decisions. - Assists in maintaining key relationships with domestic and international airlines. - Creates and presents a wide range of materials to a variety of audiences, including senior management, and partner airline leadership. - Develop solutions for and maintain partner dashboards and reports while working in conjunction with other departments to provide a holistic view of the partner Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - A minimum of 2 years of experience working with other airlines or significant partners. - A minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytical function within the airline industry or equivalent experience. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Experience managing relationships and conducting contract negotiations. - Ability and willingness to travel. - Proven ability to perform financial analysis and work with database querying tools, such Excel, Altryex, and Brio/Hyperion. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - Revenue management and network planning experience. - Understanding of airline GDS systems and how they relate to internal systems/processes. - Project management process awareness.
