Coordinates and completes sales activity and follow-up with account team members, where applicable (Global Sales, Market Sales) • Executes sales activity and strategy to achieve agreed account targets for the hotel. • Work in harmony with Global Sales Organization and Market Sales to support business closure of key accounts managed to the benefit of the hotels • Communicates group, extended stay and catering details with all relevant departments after opportunities are booked. • Identifies and develops new markets/segments from accounts managed, including International where applicable. • Proactive Sales – Saturates and penetrates assigned accounts for group, extended stay, catering and transient business. Coordinates pricing process for the hotel. • Account Team Leadership – Creates sales strategy for account penetration for all accounts managed. Coordinates activities, follows up with and directs relevant departments. Utilizes sales organization resources as needed in account saturation. • Proactively manages relationships with multiple contacts in assigned accounts. • Hotel Communication – Coordinates with relevant departments for site inspections and entertainments. Updates relevant departments on the status of accounts and pending business and ensures follow-through and property “buy in” on customers service needs. • Strategic Direction – Works with Director of Sales on account productivity, opportunities and strategic direction. • Assumes leadership role, as requested by Director of Sales, on ad hoc tasks and special projects, including sales blitz’s and developing processes to identify potential new accounts. • Maintains accurate and up to date account data and reporting using account management system • Participates on Global Sales Organization account teams whenever relevant. • Assists with new hire orientation and appropriate new hire training to ensure associates can successfully perform their job. • Utilizes Marriott Global Source for resources and information (Training Energizers, etc.). • Leverages available eTools. • Creates contracts as required.
