Job Description:

Planning, Organizing and Budgeting

  • Set strategic directions to be followed in annually developed departmental plans and business objectives for the department while ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Accountable on the implementation of the annual functional plan.
  • Evaluate and authorize all department standards, policies and procedures.

Functional Management

  • Develop Channel Marketing strategy based on Orange vision and mission, stakeholders requirements, market dynamics and industry evolution.
  • Anticipate and react urgently to needed changes arising from outside factors impacting Orange’s revenues (e.g. political situation, social situation, competition…)
  • Develop “Channel Marketing” action plan including commercial periods in alignment with market segments’ plans & direct sales department’s KPIs to achieve revenue and gross ads targets.
  • Forecast and control Channel marketing promotional & communications budget.
  • Develop “Business Planning” presentations and “Performance Analysis” presentations for Orange executives relating to Channel Marketing department revenues, gross sales and NPS KPIs.
  • Build a collaborative relation with Marketing segments’ sub-departments, Direct Sales channel, Complementary sales department, Devices department , Sales Business Development department and Customer Experience department to achieve target revenue budget and NPS scores through Channel activations.
  • Set a plan with suppliers/partners for co-marketing activities and budget to upsell Orange and suppliers’ products to achieve devices and lines’ revenue and sales  targets.
  • Build in coordination with Base Management department the strategy, guidelines and needed systems for launching periodic customized direct communication campaigns to outlets’ customers in order to build an ongoing relation with customers and increase their loyalty.
  • Act as a liaison for sales in marketing department and as a liaison for marketing in the sales department.
  • Communicate periodically with Orange peers to exchange best practices and plans to achieve the revenue and gross sales targets.
  • Analyze Channel Marketing department achievement vs budget and take necessary actions to achieve budgeted revenues for postpaid, data and devices sales in direct sales and complementary channels
  • Evaluate communications material for Channel Marketing department projects to give feedback and needed approvals
  • Lead the Channel Marketing dept. team to ensure the following to achieve budgeted revenues, gross adds and loyalty KPIs.
  • Launch tailored offers for each commercial period.
  • Launch tailored offers for direct sales channels according to their location, services and target customer segment (National sales , Franchise, Kiosks & shop-in-shop).
  • Launch customer education campaigns in Orange direct sales channels to uncover Orange products’ and VAS benefits and competitive edge.
  • Launch tailored direct marketing campaigns per outlet and customer segment.
  • Launch special animations for new sales outlets openings (new shops, Orange Express, Orange Mini shop, shop-in-shop)
  • Special animations and promotions for exclusive and flagship devices.
  • Launch special activations for the “high value area” in shops.
  • Analyze market researches, geo-marketing reports, and  offers’ post-launch reports to understand the target customers’ needs, desires and purchase behavior segmented by demographics and location of sales channels.
  • Request and analyze periodic mystery shopping reports with benchmarks to competitors’ sales channels.
  • Develop window banners and digital signage plan according to sales outlet segmentation and commercial KPIs.
  • Ensure periodic update of channels’ offers on Orange website & online.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes under the department control for better time to market  and higher performance quality.
  • Seek new tools and techniques to increase department productivity and revenues.
  • Share the values of the organization and ensure the team commitment to them.
  • Motivate and help the direct sales team, the complementary team, the trade development team , market segment teams and the devices teams to accept the changes in how Orange will do work with the inception of the new Channel Marketing dept.

People Management

  • Interview and select direct reports and validate hiring decisions for the department.
  • Provide coaching and request needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
  • Ensure a healthy working environment for the department employees through focusing on team building and motivation initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for direct reports while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering (MBA is a plus)
  • Minimum 8 years experience in relevant business branch.
