Associate Vice President,Vendor Management and Procurement at Emirates NBD – UAE
Job Description:
- Leads the vendor evaluation selection and negotiation process establishes and maintains contractual and business relationships with the strategic vendors monitors contract compliance solves operational issues with vendorseg quality delivery and service issues and align sourcing strategies based on supplier performance and business unit input On an ongoing basis the Sourcing Manager is responsible for holding supplier reviews and ensuring progress to year over year supplier improvement goals
- Continuously revisits strategic vendors to build and maintain a tier system
- Maintaining a good relationship with the strategic vendors by engaging with them on a regular basis
- Ensure strategies are implemented and reductions secured according to implementation plans Contract compliance will be actively monitored by the Sourcing Manager and when required the Sourcing Manager will work with business unit leadership to address noncompliance issues
- Develop implement and monitor business unit satisfaction with key suppliers and the support responsiveness of the centre purchasing activity for assigned leverage commodities
- Develop an expertise in the assigned spend categories
Job Requirements:
Relevant Experience:
- 5 years negotiating and managing contract life cycles with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreements
- Experience in managing large complex contracts in one or more IT categories including hardware software service and communication
- Experience working with all key departmentssecurity compliance finance tax AP legal and procurement and knowledge of procurement and vendor management practices and certifications CIPS ITIL and COBIT
- Experience in vendor evaluations and selection of vendors
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Successful multiyear track record in an IT procurement contract administration and IT asset management
- Knowledge specialist Purchasing and inventory management also will make the transition successfully Similar experience in different industry or a vendor position in sales marketing or service industry
- Specific commodity experience preferred
