About The Job

This job is a member of the Sales Team within the Sales Division. This position will be responsible for providing 24/7 phone and email assistance on third party bookings to travel professionals, corporate travel managers and Global Sales employees.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Uses various applications such as SalesLink, Qik, native Sabre and FLY (BA Amadeus) to assist travel professionals with interpretation of our Global Sales policies and procedures, to provide waiver/favor services, to resolve complex booking and ticketing issues or to provide guidance for rebooking customers impacted by schedule or flight changes, for both American Airlines and our partner, British Airways
  • Assists travel professionals with rule interpretation for leisure net or corporate negotiated fares
  • Makes decisions and recommendations to build account loyalty, retain customer revenue and maintain American’s competitiveness in the market place
  • Flexible to work outside of normal business hours, including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • ​High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • ​Positions may be home-based, within a 50-mile radius of DFW, ORD, LAX, NYC or MIA
  • Ability to attend 4-6 week training at HDQ
  • Ability to perform duties while sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to be self-managed and meet company attendance expectations
  • Japanese, Chinese Mandarin or Spanish speakers are encouraged

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • ​Previous Sales Support, Global Sales, and/or Reservations experience
  • Native Sabre skills including booking, pricing and ticketing
