Overview

The position holder will be the single point of contact for our sales teams in EMEA.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting AA’s EMEA Sales teams and the JB with planning, reporting and tactical analysis in multi-departmental projects covering sales and distribution strategies. Overall, the analyst is expected to embrace the target of his/her region and work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the team achieves its goal.

About The Job

As this is an up to 12 month contract for maternity cover, the role is well suited for an entry-level analyst with a desire to begin their career in the airline industry.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities                                                                             

  • To provide analytical  support to local sales teams within JB/Alliance selling environment 
  • To extract and summarize large quantities of information from a variety of data sources, identify trends and interpret results to support manager in recommending strategies. 
  • To provide effective communication of complex sales initiatives verbally and through the compilation of presentations
  • To develop strong internal network and working relationships with AA and JB sales teams
  • To compile the agenda and help facilitate monthly EMEA sales manager meetings
  • Work closely with field sales teams to accomplish monthly/quarterly/annual processes
  • Support manager to accomplish major strategic projects.
  • To participate in ad-hoc value adding projects

Person Specification

Essential

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Advanced or expert level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and present a strong business case
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and attention to detail
  • Results orientated and meets deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify and recommend strategic and process improvements
  • Flexible and capable of both working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask, work on multiple high priority projects simultaneously and meet key deadlines

 

Desirable

  • Understanding of AA and AJB data sources
  • Understanding of airline sales, distribution, revenue management and pricing
  • Creation of dashboards using Tableau
  • Experience in cross-cultural business practices
