About The Job

Responsible for assisting leaders of people seeking guidance regarding specific team member matter;  coach and guide the business with team member concerns including the day to day performance coaching and leader of people assistance; provide guidance for draft/review of performance related documentation; guide leaders to investigate non work environment matters (e.g. travel allegation violations, company/local policy, attendance, performance, etc.); confer with legal and labor.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Explains and interprets company regulations, policies, and procedures for employees and management
  • Guides leaders to investigate non-work environment matters
  • Collaborates with People Business Partners, the field and corporate leadership by providing information that leads to proactive solutions or action plans that impact policies, processes and procedures.
  • Partner with labor as well as internal and external counsel when appropriate
  • Conducts ongoing formal and informal HR training
  • Produces and maintains reports, metrics, and other data to the HR Partner team
  • Represents the HR Partner team on various projects/committees
  • Completes ad-hoc projects, as assigned
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience or 5+ years of supervisory experience is required.
  • 1+ years of experience handling internal complaint investigations required
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary to explain complex information and communicate with all levels of management. Ability to interact effectively with employees
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle shifting and multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel for the position will vary based on position
Qualifications (Continued)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience dealing with unionized workgroups
  • Professional certification as a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP preferred
  • Proficient in Spanish language
