(USA-WA-Seattle) Manager, Inflight Entertainment (IFE) & Connectivity

Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary This role is responsible for executing on the strategy for inflight entertainment and connectivity for all Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air's fleets. Scope and Complexity As a people leader, the Manager of IFE and Connectivity leads and establishes priorities for the team to manage the ancillary entertainment products, program analytics, and reporting. Key Duties - Lead team and establish priorities for proprietary, branded wireless IFE program (e.g., content procurement and mix, vendor management, rentable device program, music program, P&L, and evolution of products) across entire fleet. - Execute on strategy for the inflight connectivity program (Wi-Fi) and current and future technologies (e.g., pricing strategy, budget and accounting ROI, promotions, enhancements, and vendor management). - Exercises ownership and oversight of proprietary Alaska-branded program content. This includes decisions related to content curation, partnerships, vendor selection, products, pricing, and policies. Manages the inflight rentable devices program, including oversight of software, interface, and hardware. - Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management - Influence across Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air with peers and senior leaders to gain consensus, determine and recommend long term strategies, and implement resulting programs. (e.g., Flight Operations, IT, Maintenance & Engineering, Marketing, Inflight, etc.), as well as key external vendors to ensure the integrity of Alaska's brand experience. - Delegate and assign ancillary product management tasks and data analysis tasks to team members. - Responsible for monitoring and reporting the budget for the inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi connectivity department budget. - Cultivate new entertainment partnerships to enhance the product offering and increase guest participation and satisfaction. - Provide input in the strategy for future hardware and software investments that enhance the entertainment and Wi-Fi products. Research, assesses, and recommends current and future IFE and connectivity offerings. - Negotiate contracts with vendors for services, content, and advertising. - Directs cross-functional teams for the implementation of both product strategies across all fleets. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 5 years of consumer product marketing experience, with an emphasis on customer environments. - 5 years of experience managing external agencies and vendors. - 2 years of leadership experience. - Bachelors degree, preferably with a focus in marketing or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of degree. Preferred - Airline industry experience. - Ability to set strategy and lead cross-functional teams. - Strong communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening), with the experience to interact and communicate effectively across business units with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization. - Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
