Job Description:
- Strategy, Transformation and Business Governance
- Drive the strategic thinking across AFF to ensure that the business is well placed to address the changing market landscape in the Automotive and Finance sectors.
- Develop, shape and communicate the AFF strategy in conjunction with AFF Managing Director and senior management team (SMT).
- Lead thought leadership efforts to harness market intelligence and develop strategic opportunities.
- Lead the execution of strategies and projects across the business by mobilizing and managing teams and participate in Group level transformation projects.
- Deliver large-scale strategic as well as digital or business transformation initiatives with certainty and to high standards to ensure transformational goals and objectives are met.
- Lead the PMO and provide project governance to all small and large-scale change projects, new product launches, new business initiatives, distribution channel and geographical expansion projects for the AFF business.
- Be responsible for governance of:
- the AFF incentive plan
- AFF product offering
- new initiatives.
- Implementation of quality standards and excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Planning & Development, Thought leadership:
- Providing market intelligence and thought leadership to ensure strategic decisions are made in consideration of the market context
- Analyzing the business and each business unit individually, exposing its strengths and weaknesses; benchmarking with the market, deriving opportunities and threats
- Identifying and developing strategic options for AFF.
- Development of key strategic initiatives through facilitation or business problem or inception - actively support strategy creation by business/department heads and promote rigor in strategic thinking.
- Providing quantitative analyses on revenue improvement / cost vetting offered to departments or other high impact opportunities
- Develop strategic planning frameworks
- Driving the formulation of the strategic plan, by working with the senior management team to establish and review key strategic priorities
- Ensuring resource allocation and departmental plans are aligned with the organization's strategic priorities
- Collaborating with institutional leadership, special committees, other Group companies and consultants to support approval/sign-off and execution of key initiatives
- Communicating the strategy across levels in the organization, and engaging associates to contribute and deliver.
- Strategy Execution & Project Management (PMO):
- Translating the 3-year strategic plan into actionable and quantitative execution plans. Driving and monitoring the realization of the Strategy Execution Plan. Project Portfolio Management.
- Mobilizing and managing teams of individuals charged with executing strategies, in UAE and/or overseas
- Ensuring transparency and predictability in project status, progress, risks and challenges, timelines and estimated benefits through accurate reporting on the project portfolio
- Managing the PMO function, focused on training and support of project managers, escalation of and intervention in project issues, and accurate reporting.
- Transformation:
- Leading key Captive financial services projects
- Leading all digital transformation initiatives
- Lead AFF’s participation in Group level transformation projects e Driving business model transformations
- Driving organizational transformation: advising on organizational decisions and driving change in organizational culture.
- Governance, Quality & Excellence:
- Leading governance of the incentive plans for the UAE and overseas sales organization
- Leading product governance: drive business / product review cycle and lead the product working group to ensure our product suite is fit for purpose, economically well positioned and the front end / back end processes are rigorous
- Acting as complaints officer (Central Bank requirement for all lending / captive activities)
- Leading quality initiatives: customer satisfaction surveys, departmental process reviews
- Leading idea generation programs
- Driving an organizational culture of quality and excellence: engagement, standard setting, training, standardization efforts
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- This role is a prominent leadership position, demanding 7+ years of experience working with senior leadership teams. In addition, the candidate should also have experience driving strategic planning and thinking, managing cross-functional project teams, and participating in or leading business development activities.
- To qualify for this position, the preferred candidate must demonstrate exemplary strategic thinking, commercial acumen, analytical problem-solving skills, project management, market research and negotiation skills.
- This role requires an individual with strong interpersonal and coaching skills and an ability to eloquently convey complex ideas to senior audiences and influence at that level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Management skills in both emerging and developed markets and across complex regulatory environments across multiple geographies.
- Ability to create constituency and form relationships - being a people-person who is skilled in relationship management, satisfying customers, and keeping large multi-dimensional teams working together in the most efficient ways possible. Working to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment is expected.
- Experience in new product & business/partnership development highly advantageous. Commercial acumen key.
- Strong commercial experience and business understanding e.g. sales, client & operational experience desired.
- Advanced degree preferred.
