Health & Safety Assistant Supervisor  at PepsiCo

Location: 6th Of October

Job Description:

  • Execute the day to day Health & Safety business related matters in the assigned location such as work permits issuance, risk assessment review, conduct site physical checks and site personal and contractor supervision.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures & Safe Working Practices in light of the company and PepsiCo standards.
  • Develop & implement schedule for site planned general inspection and key safe behavior observations.
  • Perform the required incident investigation for all reported incidents gather the required physical evidence in his assigned location.
  • Report the assigned locations’ matrices, investigations, and audit & compliance data on myEHS including action plans and follow up on closure.
  • Implementation of Health & Safety training agenda and report training hours to Health & Safety training sub-function.
  • Develop emergency response plan and coordinate effective periodical drills.
  • Developing the Health & Safety functional knowledge and owner ship through the formation and development of Safety Action Teams in addition to providing the advice to site management towards closing culture gaps.
  • Develop the plant monthly follow up points to discuss with plant management and agree on related action plan related to KPIs that impact positively Health & Safety performance and achieve Annual Operating Plan results.
  • Conduct safety review for site projects and follow on snag list.
  • Represent Health & Safety in plant daily morning meeting and present any Health & Safety related issues.
  • Review Management of change and develop related risk assessment with concerned departments.
  • Develop technical risk assessment including Machinery equipment safety standards risk assessment and task hazard analysis.
  • Participate In Health & Safety annual audits and provide the required evidence of compliance in coordination with the plant Health & Safety lead

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering/science major degree, further safety studies is a plus.
  • 1-2 years relative site experience in EHS.
  • EHS management systems & standards.
  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic languages is required.
  • Proficient with computer usage – Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Good analytical thinking in resolving problems.
  • Good communications skills
