This job is a member of the Investor Relations Team within the Finance Division. The Investor Relations Senior Manager will serve as a lead in supporting the Managing Director of Investor Relations in interactions with Wall Street and the institutional investor community to provide a clear representation of AAG's financial performance and corporate strategy.
This is a leadership role in helping to implement the company's global investor relations plan, including engaging both the sell-side, institutional and retail investors. The Senior Manager will develop an understanding of the company's strategic direction, revenue and cost performance, capital structure, labor relations, operations, technology, products, and competitive positioning relative to other airlines. This is accomplished by having interactions and working relationships across a number of functional areas within the company.
- Keep abreast of best practices in the Investor Relations space and make recommendations to improve AAG's IR product to internal and external customers.
- Analyze key drivers of AAG's planned and reported financial results in support of quarterly BOD presentations, quarterly analyst conference calls, investor meetings, and ad-hoc projects
- Assist in preparing for earnings conference calls for earnings release, investor guidance, management scrips, investor conference presentations, and one-on-one meetings with the Wall Street community
- Collaborate with corporate communications to create the company's external and internal messages to ensure financial communications are integrated and consistent
- Collaborate with corporate finance to support relations with debtholders, credit analysts, and rating agencies
- Collaborate with Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, Marketing, Law, Corporate Development, and others as needed
- Present company and competitor financial data to company officers and other leaders within the organization
- Manage the content on the investor relations section of the company website and investor relations inbox
- Become familiar with financial disclosure regulations and help to educate internal audiences on practices to advance external communications
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years' experience in a finance-related position
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- MBA or CFA charter holder preferred
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of SEC regulations pertaining to publicly-traded companies (i.e., disclosure regulations)
- Strong financial analytical skills and the ability to identify and distill relevant information quickly and accurately
- Clear and thorough understanding of financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating & financial performance and the resulting value for its stock
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicate in a concise manner, professional presentation and reporting skills
- Solid understanding of strategic communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, and the media
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees within the organization
- Ability to represent the Company favorably and professionally to external audiences
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Excellent analytical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently
