- This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Loyalty and Marketing Division.
- As a technical lead, you'll need to organize, spearhead and own the technical side of the project.
- You will make time to coach and mentor your development team in all aspects of the agile development cycle, and work alongside a community of other tech leads and architects to constantly add value to American customers and stakeholders.
- Your project team may depend on other internal or external groups, both on and off-shore, and you'll need to own, manage and report on technical activities across all of those teams in support of your project's success.
- You should be an advocate of the agile process and test-driven development and should consider yourself an evangelist of technical excellence and quality.
- You will have an opportunity to take Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA) Career Path designed for developers and technical staff members who want to learn how to develop Pega applications
- You'll need to show technical mastery of delivering modern applications utilizing Pega software stack and DevOps CI/CD pipeline, and elegant code design.
- Works in conjunction with Product Owner and Program Manager to size, manage scope and risk
- Assist in a team environment applying Agile methodologies for delivery of our solutions and frameworks
- Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery and technical guidance to the team
- Solves complex issues that cross team boundaries, and proposes recommendations to improve existing processes to avoid reoccurring incidents
- Provides leadership and facilitation in the definition and development of the technical solution concept, including vision, scope, and system architecture
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years of experience in building applications at enterprise scale
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- Experience with Azure bigdata tools such as Kafka, NoSQL, Cassandra to store and analyze data is absolute plus
- Pega software development experience is a big plus
- Experience leading others
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Pega Marketing experience to provide personalized offers for customers using Next-Best-Offer and Next-Best-Action modelling concepts
- Experience in using Pega Connectors and Services for integration
- Microservices Architecture & Cloud development
- Strong problem-solving ability with a positive "can-do" attitude
- Angular SPA experience is a PLUS
- DevOps CI/CD using Jenkins or other competing tools in the market
- Deep understanding and knowledge of current & enterprise wide technologies including Open Source, web application development and databases
- Ability to work closely with product owners to deliver high business value incrementally with quality results in mind.
