Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Training Specialist II researches, develops, designs, and Implements training curriculum for instructor-led and learning management systems that are in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and TSA requirements. This specialist provides subject matter expertise on moderately complex to complex Inflight processes and procedures assuring that safety, compliance and customer service are optimized. Scope & Complexity This individual contributor role supports inflight policies and procedures and develops training curriculum for new hire Flight Attendants, annual recurrent training, and all other specialized training requirements. This role focuses on moderately complex to complex work assignments exercising considerable judgement and initiative with limited supervision. Key Duties - Identifies needs, researches and develops all inflight curriculum in initial new hire, recurrent, and other required training in both instructor-led and learning management system (computer-based) formats. - Partners cross-Company and cross-divisionally and with outside agencies to ensure Company mandated, and regulatory requirements are met. -Supports Company and department initiatives and identifies ways to enhance the learning experience and training effectiveness. - Serves as the subject matter expert on software systems and platforms, and explores new and innovative ways to deliver training. - Maintains department regulatory training records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Audits training courses and training personnel to ensure regulations are met and the learning environment is engaging, clear and concise. - Delivers training curriculum modules with a professional, warm, and caring tone. Embraces diversity. - Assists the Training Manager with mentoring and coaching of training staff, Flight Attendants and new hire Flight Attendants. - Builds effective working relationships across organizational levels (e.g., directors, managers, supervisors and works cooperatively with peers within and outside of department. - Hires new Flight Attendants and is involved in the termination of new Flight Attendants for both performance reasons. - Involved in Safety Risk Management. Job-Specific Skills, Experience, & Education Required - 2 years of training delivery and development. - Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of experience in lieu of this degree. - Strong skills in learning management systems, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong operational knowledge of Apple products (iPad, iPhone). - Highly enthusiastic with exceptional facilitation, presentation and listening skills. - Ability to maintain authority and control in a dynamic learning environment. - Team-oriented with excellent ability to build relationships and tactfully communicate with others. - Self-starter who takes the initiative in finding solutions to difficult/unique problems and opportunities. - Ability and willingness to successfully complete initial Flight Attendant training and maintain FAA certification. - Able meet the physical requirements of the position of Flight Attendant. - Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and stay focused in a busy, fast-paced environment. Preferred - Inflight experience, preferably as a Flight Attendant. - Knowledge of FAA and TSA regulations.
