The job is part of the EMEA Sales team within our Global Sales Division. You are responsible for developing and strategically leading our sales activities in Israel reporting to Manager, Atlantic Offline Sales in London.

What you'll do
  •  Develop agency corporate, leisure and commercial account business plans to gain long term commitment to use AA's product
  • Direct all aspects of the corporate account process including, deal approval, deal administration and performance reporting
  • Direct production of monthly sales performance reports in coordination with regional office
  • Be responsible for developing and coaching & counseling the performance of General Sales Agent dedicated AA sales team members
  • Negotiate and implement programs designed to secure high yielding business
  • Provide input into policy and programs for preferred accounts
  • Drive more SME business
  • Assess sales opportunities and utilize sales resources to maximize AA’s revenue
  • Manage ad-hoc analysis as required and provide input to European Regional office
  • Make recommendations concerning local advertising, direct mail and other promotional activities to support the territory goals and business plans
  • Call on travel agencies and commercial accounts to achieve market share and margin goals in support of the Sales Plan
  • Work closely with European Regional office to maximize sales productivity and ensure effective use of allocated resources
  • Work closely with other functions such as Airport Operations, Cargo Sales, Accounting, Marketing, aa.com, corporate communication etc.
  • Work with revenue management in Dallas to ensure we are competitive in the Israeli market
  • Attend required training in Europe or the US
  • Arrange required training for the rest of the Israel based sales team
  • Manage the sales support team in Israel
  • Work closely with AA international reservations to meet customer expectations

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • The right to work and live in Israel. This is a local hire position and not an expatriate position.
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English
  • In-depth knowledge of AA Sales and commercial systems
  • Good understanding of airline sales environment and knowledge of country market
  • Strong analytical, presentation and leadership skills
  • High levels of numeracy and PC literacy
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Meet public contact profile
  • Have own transportation
  • Travel required
  • Be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English and the local language (if applicable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Sabre background and Smarts laptop experience preferred
