  • The Director, Network and Partnership Analysis develops and leads the team that analyzes American’s strategic partnership opportunities, supports partnership negotiations, and communicates their value to internal stakeholders.
What you'll do
  • Analyzes partnerships and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to improve profitability and strategic value
  • Collaborates within Network Strategy organization to identify opportunities and implement tools and processes that improve performance of the inorganic network
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in commercial, finance, and operations teams to ensure effective understanding of network strategies
  • Prepares, develops and delivers presentations to further support future Network Strategy initiatives
  • Develops managers and analysts to prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 7 years of leadership experience
  • 5 years of experience in Network Planning, Revenue Management, or related field

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training;  Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Technical Masters in relevant field preferred
  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • Understanding of airline economics, operations, and revenue management, and the ability to apply that knowledge to strategic problems

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and create tools and processes that enable others to excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively on large, cross-departmental projects with multiple and often conflicting objectives
  • Ability to lead and inspire highly analytical and technical teams to challenge conventional thinking in order to develop new planning practices and strategies
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and approaches and lead others to do the same
  • Ability to manage, motivate, coach, and counsel a diverse team of managers and analysts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that effectively and clearly communicate a strategic vision
  • Advanced analytical skills, including a proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous improvement that is open and respectful and that thrives on diversity and trust
