Job Title:             Corporate Development Analyst

Reports to:         General Manager – Corporate Development

Department:     Corporate Development Unit (CDU)

Location:            Dubai

 

Job purpose:

Support CDU team in evaluation of M&A, JV, Greenfield and Divestment opportunities across all business divisions and geographies. Prepare and review presentations, financial models on the opportunities regarding specified key performance indicators, including IRR, NPV, Payback etc. Liaise and coordinate with external consultants/advisors for due diligence and internal stakeholders in relation to the transaction.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Preparing detailed feasibility model/business plan/valuation model in relation to a transaction or a project

 

  • Reviewing and analysing feasibility/business plan/valuation model prepared by consultants or business divisions

 

  • Identify key drivers/assumptions, perform sensitivity analysis and provide observations and recommendations to the CDU team

 

  • Perform benchmark analysis on trading comparable and historical transactions using Bloomberg terminal and other tools

 

  • Reviewing various reports and agreements and providing a summary of key issues, observations with suggestions to the CDU team

 

  • Quality and relevance of issues and observations highlighted, and suggestions made
  • Market Industry Data

 

  • Collect and analyze data from both internal and external resources on relevant industries.

 

  • Investment Committee Proposals and Presentations

 

  • Prepare and support CDU team in preparing investment committee proposals and presentation       

 

  • Meeting and coordinating with internal departments such as business unit, group finance, tax, legal etc. in relation to CDU activities and also with external advisors.

 

  • Assist CDU team in negotiation with third party advisors on engagements as well as with other parties on transaction documents

 

  • Supporting CDU team in entire evaluation process from sourcing to post completion review of the transaction.

             

 

 

Job Context

The job holder is expected to utilize high degree of skills and take utmost care to present accurate, clear and comprehensive data to support CDU team in evaluation and eventually successful completion of the transaction or the project.

 

Qualifications, experience, & skills:

Education & Qualifications:

•            Post graduate degree in Finance with extensive knowledge of Financial Management, Information Systems, Financial Analysis, Treasury and Tax gained through work experience with organizations of repute.

•            CFA, Chartered Accountant, MBA finance or equivalent

Experience:

•            Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in M&A or Investment Banking or Corporate Finance or Due Diligence

•            Previous experience in a similar position in a world class organization will be advantageous.

Skills:

•            Past experience with financial and valuation software such as Bloomberg etc.

•            Excellent numeracy skills, Analytical skills, Positive leadership, Team communication skills, Commercial awareness, Project Management skills

•            Well-developed oral and written communication skills are a must. Ideal candidate must be self-directed. Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
