Job Title: Finance Manager – Business Decision Support – Malls Group
Reports to: Financial Controller - Business Decision Support – Malls Group
Direct Reports: Senior Accountant x 2

Location: Dubai Festival City
Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to ensure financial management across the Malls Group, which currently consists of Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Plaza. This includes managing financial accounting, month end closing and controlling various Financial and accounting systems and fully engaging with the business to prepare plans, budgets, forecasts and monthly variance analysis and reporting across the Malls Group.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the Malls Group finance team to deliver on time monthly accounting close for revenue and expense, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and balance sheet integrity
- Closing and Reporting as per group deadlines
- Contribute to the development of business management relationships through monthly business reviews and recommendation of improvement initiatives
- Complete Business review presentation, KPI reporting and Dashboards, and attend monthly review meetings
- Preparation of budgets in conjunction with the retail, leasing & marketing departments to ensure reliability of the key assumptions. Control and monitoring of operating budget, quarterly forecast, 5 year Plan, investigating variances where necessary.
- Prepare Annual Budgets / Quarterly Forecast / 5 year Plan / Dynamic Budgets as per group deadlines
- Contribute to finance improvement projects for reporting automation, process improvements, develop reports and financial analysis required for internal and external purposes
- Ensure that Audit reports / schedules for statutory and / or internal audits are provided to the auditors as and when required
- Suggest improvements in policies, procedures and Delegation of Authority and ensure compliance thereof in order to maintain strong internal control
- Manage stakeholders across various departments in DFC and provide the required support to the initiatives driven by the Business Units and ensure healthy relationship/feedback from the Business Units
- People Management and Development: Effectively lead the group by providing the necessary feedback, development opportunities and ensuring we have the right resources in place.
Qualifications, experience, & skills:
Minimum qualification- CA/CPA//CIMA/ACCA/CFA with extensive knowledge of Financial management and Accounting systems. Some business development and process improvement skills.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Financial and Management accounting, preferably with mall operations experience.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Demonstrated experience developing management reporting packs and presenting to senior leadership;
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/MS Projects);
- Extensive knowledge of Financial package SAP and/or other ERP systems;
- Knowledge in Yardi is highly preferable;
- Proficient in accounting standards, particularly the ones relevant to the retail and real estate industry;
- Experience with discounted cash flow valuations/purchase price allocation;
- Experience in retail leasing industry either directly or as consultant/auditor.
