ROLE PURPOSE:
Synthesize and leverage complex data-set based on applied advanced analytics to a variety of business situations to Build, validate, and maintain Operations Research (OR), Simulation.
KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Build and refine statistical models to gain better insight (primarily R Studio and Tableau experience to translate business analytics needs into data visualization and semantic data access requirements.
Apply advanced analytics to a variety of business situations; familiarity with a broad base of analytics tools and platforms, as well as a core programming language, such as: Python, C/C++, Scala, Java, and Ruby.
Synthesize and leverage complex data-set based on applied modeling, algorithms for analysis of data sources and business process.
Propose and implement relevant algorithms and Apply modelling concepts to solve complex business questions
Build, validate, and maintain Operations Research (OR), Simulation and AI (Machine Learning (ML) /Deep learning) models. Machine learning based —bias-variance tradeoff, exploration/exploitation—and understanding of various model families, including neural net, decision trees, Bayesian models, instance-based learning, association learning, and deep learning algorithms
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Like Developing company A/B testing framework and test model quality for e-commerce.
PERSON SPECIFIC:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
- Advanced skills in Visualization, SQL, R, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and at a minimum intermediate experience in all other Microsoft Office Products
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design/Development, data mining and other segmentation techniques
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- 3+ years work experience in technology or Computer science and Database management
- Proficiency in R, particularly to prototype mathematical model
Job-Specific Skills:
- Demonstrated track record of successful projects in applying quantitative techniques to improve a product or business.
- Domain expert in one of the fields: statistics, machine learning, optimization, and economics.
- Advance system proficiency, SAP & JDA experience in additional advantage
- Machine learning domain knowledge—bias-variance trade off, exploration/exploitation—and understanding of various model families, including neural net, decision trees, Bayesian models, instance-based learning, association learning, and deep learning algorithms
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions
- Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business
