About the role:

The Senior Planner is responsible to manager OTB, stock, sales and margin at detailed level to maximise sales and minimise inventory levels. You are responsible for sales Planning by market and business unit (annual, monthly, daily), managing all the key Business KPI’s of Sales, Cash Margin, Markdown Cost and Closing Stock, controlling Space and OTB Planning by BU for the entire MENA business, and for delivering accurate Business Reports and providing analysis to drive the key Business KPI’s.

 

Key Roles Responsibilities :

 

 Financials

  • Manage the development of Annual, seasonal, monthly and weekly business plan as appropriate
  • Understand the trend and Forecast weekly sales and margin by store and region highlighting the risks and opportunities
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive department financial and product strategies
  • Reconcile top –down & bottom-up department plan to divisional Plan and Forecasts
  • Manages markdown and promotional strategies to ensure margin is maintained to achieve bottom line

 

Manages OTB, inventory levels and stock turn

  • Managing OTB and Markdown for 9 brands for all countries.
  • Allocate accurate OTB for each brand & category to achieve maximum sell through.
  • Maintain healthy stock level in each brands and country
  • Manage MSSI/WSSI report with accurate forecasting and inform the management with risk factors with regards to stock holding and sales
  • Ensure Space productivity is executed to keep the right product to increase the profitability across the brands.
  • Manages the stock profile to ensure that aged inventory is kept to a minimum

 

Team Collaboration

  • Works in conjunction with buying team to develop effective, profitable assortment range
  • Collaborates with Financial Planner to forecast budgets and latest estimates by region and store
  • Builds and manages the range plans in conjunction with buying ensuring OTB is controlled
  • Works closely with other departments including Buying, Retail, VM, Operations and Wholesale to ensure the product offer is optimised at all times and sales opportunities are maximised
  • Works closely with logistics team to ensure the stocks are flowing as planned.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and the Brand teams to confirm the commercial calendar for all brands, which would include all key promotions in line with the markdown strategy

 

SAP Inventory Management & Reporting

  • Ensure that SAP is maintained and is regularly and is operating effectively from an inventory point of view
  • Develop and publish reports which will give accurate and reliable information to the management and facilitate decision making
  • Support expansion by providing sales estimates and ensuring the availability of a proper stock package
  • Understand gaps in the existing inventory control process & take corrective action to address these gaps in a timely manor
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of robust inventory/ stock policies, procedures (SOPs) and ensure that the replenishment system in SAP is operating efficiently.

 

About You:

It is essential you have at least 3 -5 years’ experience in a similar role within a large multi-brand retailer and have experience and knowledge of leading a successful team.

You must possess strong decision making skills, have excellent attention to detail, be able to analyse data quickly and efficiently and have the ability to work with people at all levels in a multi-functional, deadline-driven environment. You will have excellent attention to detail, use a systematic approach to planning and prioritising activities and have a proven track record in achieving targets in a fast-moving, results-driven environment.  Advanced skills in MS Excel is required and knowledge of SAP system would be an advantage.

You must be proactive, self-motivated, career focused and have excellent leadership and people management skills.
