Job Description:

  • Setting the Care vision for Careem’s super-app, roadmap, execution, and communication with cross functional teams, regional markets, and partners.
  • Lead the roadmap for the Care omni-channel, in-app help center, channel access strategy, routing, Care routing platform, agents-facing portal, new technology adoption.
  • Deliver on meeting annual goals to reduce care contact rates while maintaining a great user experience, run a company-wide cross functional program for root cause elimination, and find the right balance in terms of care cost and users lifetime value.
  • Identify, conceptualize and develop new products as well as improvements to existing products.
  • Designing for care agents with high turnover and obsessing to create a super low friction agents experience.
  • Working across all areas of the company, you will serve as an internal/external liaison between engineering, design, operations, commercial, marketing, and executive management, building products that serve over 1M Captains (drivers), 30M Customers, and +1.5K Agents across 11 countries.
  • Grow a high throughput and high performance team, empowered and enabled by the right tools, infrastructure, and operation.
  • Manage both the tactical fire fighting incidents and the strategic approach for fire prevention.
  • Proven experience in developing good relationships and communicating effectively with key stakeholders, agents, partners, and executive management.
  • Gather and use quantitative and qualitative data, creating hypotheses and making informed product decisions, testing assumptions early to reduce risk up-front.
  • Perform A/B testing working with data analysts and data scientists to validate and iterate product increments that demonstrate customer and business value.
  • Make Careem the region’s category leader in delivering the best and most efficient user experience.

Job Requirements:

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:         

  • Possess high user empathy, understand unmet needs, define MVP, prioritize epics and stories.
  • Knowledge of design thinking methodologies to create outstanding user experiences with the help of UX or product designers.
  • Experience in working on mobile-first experiences with Android or iOS engineers.
  • Ability to get hands-on in a complex operational environment, to manage and close the loop on multiple concurring tasks.
  • High level of curiosity to figure out working with legacy systems, policies and operational limitations, and champion a culture for better documentation and sustainability.
  • Ability to synthesize and filter signal from noise, and focusing on pebbles rather than sand in extracting actionable high impact information.
  • Good commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate competence in analyzing, reporting and efficiently responding to quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong track record in delivering results and demonstrating agility in leading care product roadmap for millions of users.
  • Effective in influencing policies and org-wide product features with a Care user experience in mind.
  • Comfortable in managing pressure and keeping a calm and structured work environment.

Preferred: 

  • Has a good understanding of ML techniques and chatbot tools on the market and their positioning.
  • Ability to attract and retain top talent.
  • Expertise in growing a fully-rounded Care product team and working closely with all supporting teams: care ops, engineering, and data science.
