Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary This role is responsible for executing on the strategy for safety and compliance at Horizon Air. As a people leader, the Manager, Flight Operations Quality Management leads and establishes priorities for the team to deliver on safety and compliance through data collection, analysis and investigations. Key Duties - Provides support to Directors and Managers in Flight Operations, Inflight and Dispatch with development of processes and procedures that will eliminate or control non-compliance to an acceptable level - Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback. - Oversees and conducts departmental self-audits & investigations to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements - Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with corrective actions resulting from evaluations, internal audits, FAA investigations and surveillance, as well as external audits - Maintains responsibility for identifying the impact of Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) and changes to Title 14 and 49, Notices, Advisory Circulars (AC), Orders, Information for Operators (INFO), Safety Alerts for Operators (SAFO), Legal Interpretations and Memorandums, and assist the division to implement appropriate changes - Participates in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Compliance Coordination meetings - Monitor the actions taken by Flight Operations, Inflight and Dispatch to comply with audit and investigation reports including implementation. - Ensures Flight Operations, Inflight and Dispatch departments have taken appropriate action to close out Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRPs) and FAA Compliance Actions including validation of corrective action implementation. - Tracks, trends and analyzes data from safety reporting, internal, and external audit programs to monitor the compliance health of Flight Operations, Inflight and Dispatch - Oversees new processes to improve safety and compliance Job-Specific Skills Required: - Bachelor of Science/Arts (preferably in Math, Science, Business, Aeronautics or other related discipline), or an additional 2 years of relevant training/experience. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial aviation industry (Part-121 and/or Part-135 operations) or equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry - A minimum of 2 years of experience leading people - Quality Assurance and/or risk-based auditing experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing - Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks - Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take initiative, be resourceful and show good judgment - Working knowledge and understanding of FAA regulatory environment and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum age of 18 - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Aviation, safety, inflight, flight ops and/or dispatch background strongly preferred Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 08/26/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
