Head - New Business Models and Acceleration
Job Purpose:
- This role builds new automotive companies and new business models for the Al-Futtaim automotive division.
- The role holder is responsible for the development, accelerated delivery and continued improvement of new business models with a heightened focus on digital propositions for retail and business customers.
- The role holder’s strategic imperative is to successfully transform Al-Futtaim automotive’ s business model by integrating digital platforms
Job Description:
- Business Model Development:
- Responsible for future development of new retail selling formats including online purchases and further expansion of physical digitalised mall stores.
- Exploration of future business models and new revenue streams.
- Lead the after-sales service platform business model development for both the franchise model and FastFit model.
- Collaboration with and benefit from other automotive centres of excellence for the development and implementation of the new business concepts and models.
Performance Indicators:
- Development and launch of new automotive companies, platforms and models.
- Accelerated delivery of new business models in accordance with set timelines and costs.
- Business Performance:
- Responsible for the performance of new business models such as mall stores during initial agreed “new model” phase, including the profit-and-loss and financial performance.
Performance Indicators:
- Financial performance of new automotive companies and models.
- Used Car Platform:
- Represent Al-Futtaim group as a member of the board of directors for used cars platform companies.
Performance Indicators:
- Effectiveness as a board member.
- Performance of the companies.
- Digital Aggregator:
- Development and performance of the digital aggregator platform
- Develop a business model across GCC.
Performance Indicators:
- Development and launch of the platform in the UAE and GCC.
- Accelerated delivery within set timeframe and costs.
- Financial performance of new platform
- Digital Transformation and Strategy:
- Accelerate, strengthen and progress the Automotive division’s digital retail strategy.
- Provide expertise and support to business units/brands on digital transformation and the digital journey.
- Promote and create the digital culture with customers and employees.
- Develop relevant change management plans in collaboration with Automotive leadership team. Drive learnings and workshops.
Performance Indicators:
- Digital transformation programmes.
- Digital strategy formulation and implementation
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Education: A business or technical university degree is preferred.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
- 10 years overall experience in digital and e-commerce, preferably in relation to the Automotive industry.
- Expert knowledge and experience in digital retail platforms and e-commerce is essential.
- Experience and expertise in the Automotive field is preferred with knowledge of the Automotive business model and value chain.
- Commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and ability to create buy-in and influence at a senior level.
