Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer for OCC/Crew Systems is a subject matter expert in the operation and management of business critical OCC/Crew systems at Alaska. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions regarding on-going operation of OCC/Crew Systems and provide recommendations to improve performance, stability and reliability. Key Duties - Delivers broad administration/support for OCC applications (examples include JCTE Crew Scheduling system and other related systems. - Possesses and displays expert skills in the following areas: technical troubleshooting, customer service, communication, thought leadership and project management - Familiar with core infrastructure technologies: Active Directory, Identity Management, DNS, Certificate Management, Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.), Load Balancing, Linux and Windows Servers, Security & Compliance Standards, etc. - Mentors application/system administrators on all elements of application administration, including technical, process, and documentation best practices. Additionally, serves as the point of escalation for other application administrators in the event of severe or critical issues impacting production operations. - Develops and maintains highly detailed and technical documentation for OCC applications, with a focus on integration touch-points, break-fix methodologies, and general upkeep. - Serves as the initial point of contact for OCC for application workflow and technical issues. - Develops and maintains a deep technical understanding of all OCC applications, including server-side configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration. - Provides 24x7 on-call support for critical issues affecting OCC applications/infrastructure. - Partners with IT and the OCC subject matter experts to plan and execute software upgrades, feature tests, audits, and disaster recovery tests. - Holds team members accountable for enterprise best practices Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - 4 years of of experience in technical engineering - A Bachelor's degree with a focus in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree - A minimum of 2 years of experience administering Unix based systems - Track record of flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Ability to quickly master and communicate complex technical concepts. - Understanding of application availability and performance metrics and IT/operations best practices. - Knowledge of fundamental IT concepts (e.g., servers, storage, networking, etc.). - Minimum age of 18 - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Experience managing operation and configuration of Jeppesen OCC & Crew systems - In-depth knowledge and experience supporting enterprise solutions - LDAP/Active directory experience. - Windows system administration experience. - Experience designing and creating command shell scripts in BASH, Sh, Python, etc - Hands-on project management experience. - Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
