Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Project Manager II independently provides project management support for small and or medium company projects that involve coordination between various groups both within divisions as well as across divisions. The position contributes to the success of Alaska Airlines by managing projects in accordance with established processes and procedures. Key Duties - Provides professional support across the Enterprise PMO team, including the following areas: - Budget tracking and invoice processing - Strategic initiative reporting - MSFT Teams and SharePoint administration - SmartSheet administration - Develops, makes recommendations, and maintains project plans, charters, and schedules that support customer needs. - Partners with the sponsor or Sr. PM to create alignment and define the project business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, deliverables and constraints impacting project delivery. - Monitors project schedule, cost, and progress to ensure projects are completed on time and fulfill the objectives of the project charter. - Communicates project status to participants and stakeholders in writing as well as in formal presentations. - Creates project scorecards and contributes to executive level reporting. - Leads teams in project execution and ensures the project follows established company project management methodologies and standards. - Organizes meetings with various work teams to collect and disseminate project information, plan and schedule tasks and resources, generate timelines, and structure a process for consensus and individual commitment for deliverables. - Identifies and communicates any unresolved complex problems or possible timeline issues along with recommended actions for correction. - May provide support for additional enterprise reporting and strategy planning activities. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - Minimum of 2 years working on project teams as a team member or project lead. - Bachelor's degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Demonstrated aptitude to independently manage projects. - Demonstrated ability to positively influence project outcomes using analytical approach and driver mentality. - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. - Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology groups. - Ability to lead program and project efforts to completion. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple objectives/tasks. - Ability to identify problems and collaboratively develop alternatives for resolution. - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum age of 18 - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Demonstrated knowledge to define and develop People Change Management / Business Readiness plans for projects. - PMP certification or desire to obtain PMP certification. - Experience with MSFT Teams and SharePoint Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. , **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 09/27/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
