The Senior Data Analyst (Data Science) position is a member of the Customer Insights & Analysis Team within the Customer Loyalty & Insights Department.  The team is responsible for generating meaningful insights about the customer and personalization across the enterprise and adds measureable value by influencing design of strategy, campaigns, offers, and actions from our customer data.  The Sr. Data Analyst will create actionable insights about the customer and promote personalized engagement and targeting efforts by analyzing and modeling all aspects of customer data, including demographic and transactional data, segmentation elements, and historical engagement and operational experience profiles.  

What you'll do
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to answer customer-centric questions relevant to the business
  • Design and influence loyalty strategy, customer campaigns and offers using customer data insights and learnings from prior campaigns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across workgroups to add customer-level insights leading to better decisions and outcomes
  • Measure impact and performance of initiatives and campaigns using techniques like A/B testing and various analytics platforms to evaluate results (Adobe Analytics, Teradata, etc.)
  • Select appropriate analytical tools and write the code and queries to generate outputs that support strategy formation and decision making
  • Present updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Develop strategies to deepen engagement with customers through personalization and dialogue
  • Identify and assess opportunities to leverage new technologies and collaborate with external vendors to support customer engagement and marketing campaigns
  • Engage customers across all customer value levels and influence strategy for non-flight campaigns (e.g., partner, cobrand) that drive engagement KPIs
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience with SQL and Tableau highly preferred
  • Experience in quantitative marketing (correlation, clustering, segmentation, regression)
  • Experience with Machine Learning Models preferred
  • Experience with Python/R data analysis preferred
  • MBA/MS preferred

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform customer data analysis using complex data sets
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the latest marketing trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to move projects forward and work effectively under tight time constraints
