- This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
- Responsible for developing and supporting web based, mobile-aware, Java applications and web services. As a member of an agile team , the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers, management, business analysts, project managers, IT architects and other developers to understand requirements and development needs while gaining valuable experience and skills.
- Collaborates with delivery leaders, product managers, IT architects, technical and squad leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand needs and develop solutions according to business requirements.
- Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
- Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
- Assists with creation of detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates; ensures tasks and projects are completed on time and within scope
- Works with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
- Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines.
- Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance, such as:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 - portal configurations, module adoptions & customizations
- PowerApps / PowerAutomate, Model-driven app and Canvas app integration with Dynamics 365
- Microsoft Azure integrations preferred – or similar cloud experience
- DevOps toolchain technologies – Azure Repository (TFS), GHE or similar
- Deploying open source infrastructure technologies and/or those that provide automation
- Predictive analytics (especially Azure ML)
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 2 years total development experience
- 1 year web application or services experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Airline industry experience, including business processes and supporting technology desired
- Experience configuring D365 portals or modules
- Experience architecting and implementing solutions in Azure
- Experience with Azure SQL, Postgres or Oracle databases
- Experience in programming utilizing C#, Python, JavaScript or similar languages is a plus
- Experience using Rally or similar work item management tool
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of object oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms, design patterns and best practices
- Basic to intermediate development skills with C#, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, GIT, JQuery, Angular, SOAP/REST and other web development technologies
- Experience with Visual Studio and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or GitHUB
- Knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL Server, Oracle)
- Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards
- Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Personal commitment to Agile principles and a continuous improvement mindset
- Knowledge of TDD and automated testing
- Knowledge of PCI Compliance / OWASP standards
- Knowledge of diagnostics tools (SOAPUI, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer, Dynatrace)
