If you share our values to safety and excellence, we want to hear from you. **Role Summary** The Supervisor Maintenance operations oversees the AOG (Aircraft on Ground) team at Horizon Air. As a people leader, the Supervisor of Maintenance leads and establishes priorities for the team of aircraft mechanics to ensure overall performance and safety in the day to day operation **Key Duties** + Provide administrative and technical control of maintenance and the supervision of aircraft mechanics in the overall performance of their duties. + Oversees and monitors the Aircraft on Ground team ensuring + Ensure the safe and timely completion of aircraft maintenance assigned to them in an environment that gives rise to safety, compliance and quality. + Ensure successful staffing through the preparation of work force schedules and workload analysis. + Evaluate work performance of assigned mechanics and new hires as required. + Communicate with leadership assuring aircraft maintenance is conducted in accordance with company and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations. + Coordinate with and assist other departments when necessary to expedite completion of assigned work. + Maintain work areas and premises in a safe, clean and orderly manner. + Evaluate work performance of assigned mechanics and new hires as required. + Ensure all paperwork is reviewed for accuracy and complete the sign-off process. + Reporting any incidents and accidents and submit the appropriate documentation for follow-up. + Adhere to Federal, State, Company and Manufacturer rules, regulations and instructions in regards toin regard to aircraft maintenance. **Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills** **Required** + 3 years of aviation maintenance experience, preferably for a commercial airline. + Hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and power plant ratings for a minimum of 5 years. + Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. + Meets the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR 65.83 (i.e., six months experience in the last 24 months). + Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum age of 18. + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Preferred** + Working knowledge of the Horizon Air GPM (General Procedures Manual) and applicable by FARs. **Job-Specific Leadership Expectations** Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **Total Rewards** + Competitive total rewards package + Medical, dental and vision benefits + 401k match program + Monthly incentive pay plan + Annual incentive pay plan + Generous paid time off and maternity / child-bonding leave + Travel privileges on Alaska Airlines & Horizon Air **FLSA Status** Exempt **Employment Type** Full-Time **Regular/Temporary** Regular **Equal Employment Opportunity** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
