  • This job is part of the Long Range Planning Team within the Revenue Division.
  • The position resides in the Fleet & Infrastructure Planning team, who is responsible of working with other groups in the organization to secure the strategic assets that are required to support the long term needs of the network. On the fleet front we work collaboratively across the Commercial, Finance and Ops organizations to secure the aircraft the network needs and ensure their seating configuration (LOPAs) are highly efficient and provide the appropriate cabin mix that best adapt to our network. On the Infrastructure front we partner with CRE, CRE finance, Alliances and other teams to secure long term Infrastructure needs for our network and design and monitor strategies to protect it.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain analytical tools to model our long-term capacity plans (10+ years) in our hubs and strategic spokes by working collaboratively with Network Planning, CRE and CRE finance
  • Partner with CRE, CRE finance and Airport affairs to find strategic ways to protect our gate infrastructure and secure future gate needs
  • Work with Alliances and NP to evaluate feasibility of co-location initiatives that maximize commercial value for the enterprise and help the company protect and expand airport footprint
  • Manage fortnightly reports on Infrastructure Updates across the network and provide strategic recommendations to senior leaders in the commercial organization
  • Produce and analyze monthly reports on gate utilization and identify risks and opportunities associated with infrastructure footprint
  • Participate in cross-functional effort with On-board products, cabin design and aircraft manufacturers to design seating configurations (LOPAs) that maximize profitability while maintaining product and operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools to evaluate expected revenue and financial performance of different fleet types, cabin mixes and fleet deployments by teaming up with Network Planning, Fleet Planning and OR
  • Maintain and educate team on latest innovations in seat designs and industry standards on aircraft design to provide recommendations to our senior leaders
  • Apply analytical modeling and data optimizing methods using advanced MS Excel to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, growth evaluation and financial analyses
  • Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests
  • Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes
  • Develop periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analyses / projects outlining key business drivers and explain variances against budget
  • Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability
  • Interact with other groups including Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, various operational groups, Joint Business partners and Regional affiliates

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in airline Network Planning/Scheduling, Revenue Management or analytical field, or Master’s degree in a related field

  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Knowledge of AirVision Schedule Manager
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
