  • This team member will take an analytical approach to improving operational and revenue performance, sales lead generation, and improving the customer experience by generating data-based insights. This will include being responsible for the entire dashboard development process, from extracting, manipulating and joining data from multiple internal sources, validation of data and dashboard creation and presentation to final users.  Many assingments will include using data visualization tools for solutions to business questions.
  • The role is a part of the Cargo Planning Performance and Analysis team within our Cargo group. 

What you'll do

  • Engage with internal business partners to help define data and forward-thinking reporting needs for Sales and Revenue Management leaders.
  • Use data visualization tools to tell a story through data insights and examples. Extract, manipulate and join data from multiple internal sources into a population set for comparative or in-depth analysis.
  • Manage and produce ad-hoc reports as well as recurring reporting that provide data-based insights for solutions to business questions
  • lnfluence the direction of Cargo commercial initiaves through data analysis and insights
  • Support all areas of the Cargo commercial business with the goal of increasing revenue, and improving operational and service performance 
  • Possess excellent communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of AA Cargo leadership, including the President of AA Cargo

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • BS (minimum), MS (preferred), or MBA (preferred) in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
    • Prior experience solving large operational problems and familiarity with the airline industry a plus
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Expertise in one or more of the following: data science, and/or statistics; practical experience in data extraction, cleansing, analysis, and visualization; familiarity with Big Data technologies
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Experience with at least one visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) and experience using data analytics software tools to analyze large data sets
