What you'll do

This job is a member of the Revenue Management Team within the Revenue Division.

  • Lead a technical team, responsible for various Revenue Management systems, including Yield Management, Pricing, and Ancillary pricing systems.
  • Responsible for leading a team to drive significant top line revenue improvements for American Airlines and being a thoughtful leader and active participant as a member of the RM leadership team.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering a relentless focus on marketplace execution by assessing the competitive marketplace, identifying new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting.

  • Team-members on this team are responsible for implementing prototype solutions using programming languages such as Python and Java, statistical tools like R, as well as business insights

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • BS, MS or PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field
  • Experience solving large-scale problems and familiarity with the airline industry/airline economics are a plus
  • Ability to drive to technical outcomes while working with various stakeholders across different business units and IT
  • Experience leading a technical team is a plus

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • An aptitude for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Willingness to show initiative and take ownership of job responsibilities
