What you'll do

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities      

• Responsible for the accurate and timely administration, preparation, processing, and distribution of payroll activities
• Ensure proper and timely reporting and payment of employees, payroll taxes, and employee benefit withholdings
• Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate resolve of management and employee payroll inquiries and issues
• Responsible for ensuring integrity of payroll information in compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations, labor agreements, and company controls
• Responsible for the ensuring sufficient support/approvals are obtained for all employee payments
• Responsible for the preparation of the  month-end account reconciliations, journal entries and support schedules
• Review/approve staff expense reports in accordance with the company’s authority policy
• Work with internal/external auditors to provide requested support to enable timely completion
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all duties assigned to you
• Work multiple projects simultaneously, complying with required deadlines and adjusting priorities

 

 

All you'll need for success

Essential

• University degree with a focus in Accounting or equivalent education/training
• At least 2 years of related payroll experience
• Proven experience of International payroll practices, tax and labor laws
• Demonstrated excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Ability to work with mainframe based tools; proficient with PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) 
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluent in verbal and written English and Spanish
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization
• Ability to deal with confidential subject matters
• Able and willing to work flexibly with a willingness to undertake Domestic and International travel as required

Desirable

• MBA, CPA, or equivalent education/certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of airline employment policies and procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
