Sales Engineer - Volvo Trucks | FAMCO | Dubai

 

About the Position:

We are looking for a Sales Engineer for Volvo Trucks to work from Dubai and cover Dubai, Northern Emirates and/or any other territory within the UAE as per business requirements. This position will spend 90% of the time in field visits and requires daily contacts with customers, commercial crew visits and total solution’s sales (Trucks, Finance Solutions, Dynafleet and Service Contracts)

 

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Achieve/Exceed monthly/annual sales target while maximizing the profitability of the business by focusing on both the net sales and gross margin earnings. This includes utilizing discounts as a tool to close deals.
  • Contact prospective customers and assigned accounts within designated territory.
  • Conduct regular customer/field visits to assess business requirements and maintain healthy relationships to ensure top customer satisfaction levels.
  • Qualify customers by understanding customer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models.
  • Demonstrates trucks by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features, offering test drives, explaining warranties and services.
  • Writing sales orders, securing deposits and processing paperwork in accordance with established business policies.
  • Maintain a strong focus on satisfaction of all customers
  • Attend all sales meetings and modular training sessions, refresher courses that introduce new products and make sure the Sales Manager is informed if additional training is required.
  • Provides sales management information by completing reports.

 

About the Role:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications, knowledge and skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in heavy trucks sales
  • 1 - 3 years of sales experience within the GCC market in heavy trucks sales
  • Adequate knowledge and work experience within the UAE market
  • Excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude
  • Solid time management and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure work environment
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
  • UAE driving license
