- This job is a member of the Flight Service Team within the Customer Experience Division.
- Responsible for acting as the provider of quantitative data, ensuring effective operation of and proper strategic planning for the airline business.This job is also responsible for a variety of tasks across a host of operational functions and strategic areas.
What you'll do
- Compiles data for state leave tracking encompassing the calculation of sick accruals
- Updates flight attendant and Flight Service rosters bi-weekly
- Coordinates employee anniversary and retirement letters
- Conducts seniority research and runs monthly seniority macros
- Performs attrition analysis
- Provides methodical monthly departmental reporting
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Experience in working effectively under extreme deadline pressure
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify recommended solutions
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT or equivalent degree
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of American Airlines (AA) policies, procedures, agreements, and budgeting functions
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical data clearly and swiftly
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, union environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Ability to be a team player – works well with others, willing to help out where needed, etc.
- Ability to work with large data sets using Excel, including common data analysis formulas, Pivot tables and charts
- Ability to work with abnormal data sets from a variety of sources and able to normalize the same based on any number of primary keys
- Ability to work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Ability to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
